MEDICATION USED FOR

Montelukast used to treat the symptoms of seasonal ( occurs only at certain times of the year and perennial ( occurs all year round ) allergic rhinitis ( a condition associated nwith sneezing and stuffy ( runny or itchy nose ). Montelukast works by blocking the effects of leukotrienes , a substances produced by the body in response to certain “ triggers “ that cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs. Montelukast usually starts to works within one day . Montelukast belongs to agroup of medications known as leukotriene receptors antagonist… Montelukast works by blocking the actions of leukotrienes D4 in the lungs resulting in the lungs resulting in decreased inflammation and relaxation of smooth of smooth muscle .. Montelukast available as a generic medication. Levocitrizine works by blocking a certain natural substances( histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Levocitrizine is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist . Levocitrizine is a third generation , non- sedating selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist with antihistamine , anti- inflammatory and potential , anti- angiogenic activities.
